On Saturday morning we drove up to Kennedy High School in Paterson for the first three games of the second day of the Coaches vs. Cancer Weekend.

In the first game Hawthorne Christian beat Eastern Christian 50-34. 6-foot-8 Jr. Alex Thomas was dominant with 27 points and 14 rebounds. Sr. Keith Ring buried 3 treys and had 13 points for Eastern Christian.

In the second game Passaic Valley came back from a 42-33 deficit after three quarters to beat Bergen Catholic 54-50. 6-foot-4 Jr. Stefan Minic led the team effort with 16 points. 6-foot-9 Jr. Matev Jurcevic notched 18 for Bergen Catholic.

In the third game three's were flying from everywhere and West Milford outscored Woodridge 89-82. 6-foot So. Mike Otero buried 8 treys and scored 32 points. Otero had 4 3's and 14 points in the opening quarter as West Milford jumped on top 26-18. 6-foot-1 Sr. Mike Gibney converted on 6 treys and tallied 31 for Woodridge.
