Departures: C Tyler Walsh - Kean, DB Brandon Boos - Kean, T Joe Elefante - Union College, K Liam Dolly - Wesley, RB Kyle Spatz - Gattaca JUCO
Offense: Lacey runs a multiple offense and returns five starters. Back at quarterback is senior Tim Kelly (6-foot-1, 190) and they also have junior Connor Davie (5-foot-9, 150), who started several games when Kelly was injured. The running backs will be senior Chris Jensen (5-foot-8, 185) and junior George Sayre (5-foot-9, 175). Jensen started on defense and Sayre can also be used as an h-back. Senior Ian O'Loughlin (5-foot-5, 170) will compete for time. When a fullback is used, junior Shane Januik (5-foot-8, 180) and senior Sean Frank (6-foot-1, 175) will be used.
At wide receiver, senior Christian Tutela (5-foot-11, 180) returns and he will be paired with junior Mike Bocchini (5-foot-10, 160). The tight end will be junior Isaiah Brown (6-foot-0, 200) and he will be pushed by senior Travis Covell (6-foot-3, 180).
Three starters return to the line, as senior guards Chris D'Addario (6-foot-0, 255) and Frank Cimirro (5-foot-10, 235), plus tackle Matt McGovern (6-foot-3, 230) are back. The center will be either junior James Peaney (5-foot-10, 195) or sophomore Tarique Smith (5-foot-11, 230), while the other guard has senior Jake Hikade (6-foot-3, 220), sophomore Joe MacAvoy (6-foot-3, 245), and junior Doug Sedeyn (6-foot-0, 235) in the running.
Defense: The Lions play a multiple 3-4 and return two starters and three others who started at least two games. The nose guard will be both D'Addario and Cimirro rotating, with senior Dave Coleman (6-foot-0, 248) possibly getting time; D'Addario started twice last year. One end will be McGovern, with MacAvoy and Hikade possibly in the rotation. The other end will be Smith and supported by senior Chandler Hammer (6-foot-1, 230), with Smith starting three games.
Inside linebacker will have sophomore Jake Post (5-foot-11, 205), junior Brian Lester (6-foot-0, 195), and Brown rotating at the two spots. Outside linebacker will have junior Lucas Sirotniak (6-foot-3, 195) and Januik on one side and Frank and Covell on the opposite side.
Two starters return to the secondary, as Jensen is a three year starter at cornerback and Tutela returns at safety. The other corner will be senior Justin Longo (5-foot-9, 170), who started twice and he is pushed by senior Dan Velez (5-foot-7, 155). Sayre will be the other safety.
Special Teams: Tutela returns as the punter and sophomore Pat Davis will be the kicker. The return men are undecided.

Question Marks: Having the team gel. It's a young team that has some returning starters, but much of the team will have to get experience on the fly. They have some competitive scrimmages scheduled and that should help.
Recruiting: Tutela, Kelly, and McGovern could go 1-AA, depending on their senior year, with Kelly getting some interest from the Ivy League. Others can go D3 with a good year.
It's too early for the underclassmen.
Coach's Comments: "Things are the same as they are every year: one day at a time and try to improve. It's a little different this year with the kind of kid, physically. We're not as fast, but more physical." - Head Coach Lou Vircillo
