September 5, 20132012 In Review: The Bombers were 12-0, winning the Central Jersey Group 4 championship by beating Middletown South, after beating Colonia and Woodbridge. They scored 331 points for a 27.58 average, while allowing 101 points for an 8.42 average, including three shutouts. Wins included Piscataway, South Brunswick, and Old Bridge.
Departures: T/DL Thomas Spieker - East Stroudsburg, RB/LB Mike Carey - Kean, WR Jon Bracero - Widener
Offense: Sayreville runs a multiple Wing-T and returns five starters. The quarterback will be senior Malik Pressley (5-foot-11, 180), who started on defense a year ago. Returning at fullback is senior Deion Miller (5-foot-11, 195), while junior Myles Hartsfield (6-foot-1, 175) is back at one halfback. The other halfback will be senior Aaron Davis (5-foot-8, 160) and he is being pushed by senior Isaiah Copes (5-foot-8, 160).
At split end, both junior Justin Gallagher (6-foot-0, 170) and sophomore Linwood Crump (5-foot-10, 150) will play, with Gallagher being the backup quarterback. The tight end will be senior Brandon Raife (6-foot-2, 205).
Three starters return to the line and they are all on the interior. Senior Brian McDonough (5-foot-9, 220), while senior Dan Grecco (5-foot-11, 205) and junior Dylan Thillet (5-foot-11, 190) are the returnees at guard. One tackle will be sophomore Anthony Porcaro (6-foot-3, 240) and the frontrunner at the other tackle is junior Noah Torino (5-foot-11, 185).
Defense: The Bombers run a 4-3 and return five starters and another who started some games. The returning tackles are senior William White (6-foot-0, 295) and senior Chris Tircarico (6-foot-3, 305). The ends will be senior Patryk Burda (6-foot-0, 190) and Thillet, as Burda started some games last year.
Miller returns at middle linebacker and the outside linebackers will be junior Dan Rodriguez (5-foot-10, 180) and senior Nick Molteg (5-foot-10, 180).
The safeties return in the secondary, with Hartsfield and Pressley back. The cornerbacks will be Copes and Davis.
Special Teams: The kicker will be junior Ben Werb and the punter will be Hartsfield. In the return game, Hartsfield and Pressley will be the main guys.

Question Marks: Inexperienced players stepping up at key positions, such as quarterback, outside linebacker, cornerback, offensive tackle, tight end, and split end.
Recruiting: Miller is a possible 1-AA player. Others can go D3 with a good year.
In the junior class, Hartsfield will be 1-A with an offer from Rutgers. Others need a good year.
