NJ Varsity Final Top 25: Groups 3, 4, and 5

There Top 5 remains the same - 6-25 is where the order gets scrambled. Neptune drops out after being tied at 25 last week. In addition, Bergen Catholic is #11 because they have four losses. I'm sorry, but I am not putting a four loss team in the Top 10, just like I refuse to put a three loss team in the Top 5.
1 - St. Joe's, Montvale (10-2). Last week: (1). The Green Knights beat Delbarton, 37-9, beating their opponents, 454-188. They have won 16 state championships, 14 in the last 18 years. Their losses were to 11-1 Good Counsel of Maryland and #3 Paramus Catholic. Wins include #11 Bergen Catholic, #6 Don Bosco, #12 St. Peter's Prep, #16 Ramapo, and 6-5 Wayne Hills.

2 - Elizabeth (11-0-1). Last week: (2). The Minutemen beat Piscataway, 37-33, and the opposition has been outscored, 438-134. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2012, 2006, 2000, 1999, and 1997; were finalists in 2011; and semi-finalists in 2004, 2002, 1998, 1996, 1995, and 1993. Wins include 6-5 Franklin twice, 5-4-1 Union, and 5-5-1 Hunterdon Central. Their tie was with Plainfield, due to Hurricane Sandy.
3 - Paramus Catholic (10-2). Last week: (3). The Paladins beat Bergen Catholic, 37-34. Opponents have been outscored, 418-189. In the last 21 years, they won titles in 2012 and 1997, plus a finals appearance in 1992. Their losses are to #11 Bergen Catholic and #6 Don Bosco, while wins include #1 St. Joe's (Montvale), #12 St. Peter's Prep, #14 Delbarton, 8-3 Friendship Academy of Washington DC.
4 - Williamstown (12-0). Last week: (4). The Braves beat Southern Regional, 43-20, last week, and have outscored the opposition, 430-133. This is the first sectional title in Williamstown's history. Wins include #7 Timber Creek, 8-3 Atlantic City, 7-3 Washington Township, 8-4 Kingsway, 7-4 Eastern, 6-4 Cherokee, 6-4 Millville, and 6-5 Shawnee.
5 - Sayreville (12-0). Last week: (5). The Bombers beat Colonia, 42-0, and outscored opponents, 331-49. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2012, 2011, 2010, and 1997; were finalists in 2008 and 2000; and semi-finalists in 2009, 2007, 2004, 2003, 2002, 1999, 1998, 1996, and 1993. Wins include #13 Piscataway, #15 South Brunswick, 9-2 Colonia, and 8-3 Old Bridge. They have won state titles the last two years.
6 - Don Bosco (8-3). Last week: (7). The Ironmen scored 343 and allowed 156 this year. In the last 20 years they won state titles in 2011, 2020, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2003, and 2003; were finalists in 2005, 2004, 200, and 1999; and semi-finalists in 2012. Their losses were to #1 St. Joe's (Montvale), #11 Bergen Catholic, and 9-2 Gilman of Maryland. Wins include #3 Paramus Catholic, #6 Bergen Catholic, 12-2 St. Thomas Aquinas of Florida, and 9-3 Alta of Utah.
7 - Timber Creek (10-2). Last week: (14). The Chargers beat Kingsway, 57-27, and have outscored opponents, 372-153. They won titles in 2012 and 2011, and were finalists in 2009. Losses are to #4 Williamstown and 7-4 Camden Catholic; while wins are over 7-4 Eastern, 6-4 Moorestown, 6-5 Shawnee, and 5-5 Hammonton.
8 - Montclair (12-0). Last week: (10). The Mounties beat Bloomfield in double overtime, 16-13, and have allowed 57 points for the year, scoring 392. In the past 20 years, they won titles in 2012, 2002, 1996, and 1994; were finalists in 2011, 2010, 2007, 2005, 2001, 2000, 1999, and 1995; and were semi-finalists in 2008. Wins include 9-3 Bloomfield twice, 8-2 Seton Hall Prep, 7-4 Ridgewood, and 5-5 East Orange.
9 - Roxbury (11-1). Last week: (18). The Gaels beat Pascack Valley, 14-6, and have scored 312 points and allowed 122. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2012, 2009, and 1998; were semi-finalists in 2005, 2004, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, and 1995. Their loss is to #14 Delbarton and wins include 8-3 Parsippany Hills, 8-4 West Morris, 7-4 Paramus, and 6-4 Randolph.
10 - Delsea (11-1). Last week: (16). The Crusaders beat Northern Burlington, 41-12, and opponents have been outscored, 441-161. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2012, 2009, 2008, 2005, and 2000; finalists in 2010, 2002; and semi-finalists in 2003 and 1998. Their lone loss is to 6-4 Moorestown and wins include 8-3 Kingsway, 6-5 Bridgeton, and 5-5 Camden.
11 - Bergen Catholic (8-4). Last week: (6). The Crusaders lost to Paramus Catholic, 37-34, and outscored the opposition this year, 494-291. In the last 20 years, they have won titles in 2004, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, and 1993; were finalists in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2008, 2003, 2002, and 1994; and semi-finalists in 2009, 2007, and 1997. Losses are to #1 St. Joe's (Montvale), #6 Don Bosco, and 10-3 Cocoa of Florida. Wins include #6 Don Bosco, 13-1 Bishop Gorman of Nevada, 8-3 St. Anthony's of Long Island, and 8-3 Friendship Academy of Washington DC.
12 - St. Peter's Prep (8-2-1). Last week: (9). The Marauders have outscored opponents 375-62. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2005 and 1994; were finalists in 2009, 2007, 2006, and 1995; and were semi-finalists in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2008, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, and 1993. Their losses were to #1 St. Joe's (Montvale) and #3 Paramus Catholic and wins include 7-3 Union City, 8-2 Seton Hall Prep, and 5-5 North Bergen. Their tie was with Dover, Delaware because of Hurricane Sandy.
13 - Piscataway (8-3-1). Last week: (13). The Chiefs lost to Elizabeth, 37-33, and have outscored opponents, 340-138. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2011, 2010, 2008, 2004, 2003, and 2002; were finalists in 2007, 2005, 1999, 1998, 1995, and 1994; and semi-finalists in 2001 and 1997. Their other losses were to #5 Sayreville and 8-3 Old Bridge, while wins are over #15 South Brunswick, 6-5 Franklin, and 6-4 Watchung Hills.
14 - Delbarton (10-2). Last week: (12). The Green Wave lost to St. Joe's (Montvale), 37-9. Opponents have been outscored, 437-164. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 1998 and 1993; finalists in 2012, 2011, 2006, 2005, 2001, 1999, 1997, 1996, and 1994; and were semi-finalists in 2003, 2002, 2000, and 1995. Their other loss is to #3 Paramus Catholic and wins include #9 Roxbury, 8-3 Parsippany Hills, 8-4 West Morris, and 7-4 Camden Catholic.
15 - South Brunswick (10-2). Last week: (22). The Vikings beat Manalapan, 33-22, and have outscored opponents, 352-223. This is the first sectional title in the school's history and they appeared in the semi-finals in 2011 and 2008. Losses were to #5 Sayreville and #13 Piscataway, while wins include 8-3 Old Bridge twice.
16 - Ramapo (10-2). Last week: (20). The Raiders beat Sparta, 37-34, and have outscored opponents 460-161. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2012, 2009, 2003, 2001, 2000, 1997, and 1993; were finalists in 2002; and semi-finalists in 2005, 2004, 1999, 1998, and 1996. Losses are to #1 St. Joe's (Montvale) and #24 Pascack Valley. Wins include 9-2 Lakeland, 7-4 Paramus, 7-3 Ramsey, and 5-5 Bergenfield.
17 - Red Bank Catholic (10-1). Last week: (15). The Caseys have outscored the opposition, 393-60. They were in the semi-finals last year. Wins include 8-3 Middletown South, 7-3 Rumson-Fair Haven, 6-4 St. John Vianney, and 6-4 Monsignor Donovan.
18 - Manalapan (11-1). Last week: (8). The Braves lost to South Brunswick, 33-22, and have outscored the opposition, 425-128. In the last 20 years, there have been finals appearances in 2012, 2011, and 2003 and semi-finals appearances in 2010, 2005, and 1998. Wins include 9-2 Colts Neck, 8-4 Middletown South, 6-4 Toms River North, and 5-5-1 Hunterdon Central.
19 - Summit (12-0). Last week: (21). The Hilltoppers beat Palisades Park, 30-0, and have outscored the opposition, 415-139. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2012, 2009, 1994, and 1993; finalists in 1995; and semi-finalists in 2008, 2003, and 2002. Wins include 8-3 Parsippany Hills, 7-3-1 Cranford, 7-3 Delaware Valley, and 6-4 Johnson.
20 - Nottingham (11-1). Last week: (25-tie). The Northstars beat Neptune, 35-24, and have outscored opponents 336-87, with six shutouts. This was the first championship in Nottingham's history. Their lone loss was to 9-2 Allentown, while wins included 9-2 Long Branch, 6-4 Notre Dame, 6-4 Hamilton, 5-5 Manasquan, and 5-5 Steinert.
21 - Lacey (10-1). Last week: (19). The Lions have scored 420 for the year and allowed 185. In the last 20 years, they won titles in 2010, 2006, 1989, and 1988; were finalists in 2007, 2005, and 1993; and semi-finalists in 2012, 2009, 2008, and 1994. Wins include #17 Southern Regional, 6-4 Toms River North, and 5-5 Brick Memorial.
22 - Southern Regional (9-3). Last week: (17). The Rams lost to Williamstown, 43-20, and scored 306 points, while allowing 195. They have been in the finals in 2012 and 2008 and the semi-finals in 2007. Their other losses are to #21 Lacey and 6-4 Toms River North, while wins are over 7-3 Washington Township, 7-4 Eastern, and 5-5 Brick Memorial.
23 - Atlantic City (8-3). Last week: (23). The Vikings outscored opponents, 298-197. In the last 20 years, they won a title in 1999 and were in the semi-finals in 2012 and 2010. Their losses are to 10-1 St. Joe's (Hammonton) and 6-4 Millville. Wins are against 6-4 Absegami, 7-4 Holy Spirit, and 5-5 Hammonton.
24 - Pascack Valley (11-1). Last week: (11). The Indians lost to Roxbury, 14-6, and have a cumulative 420-140 for the year. In the last 20 years, they were finalists in 2012, 2007 and 2006 and semi-finalists in 2011, 2008, 2005, and 2003. Wins include #16 Ramapo, 7-3 Old Tappan, 6-5 Wayne Hills twice, and 5-5 DePaul.
25 - Sparta (9-2-1). Last week: (24). The Spartans lost to Ramapo, 37-34, and have outscored the opposition, 390-181. In the last 20 years, they won a title in 2003; were finalists in 2012, 2005, and 1995; and semi-finalists in 2009, 2008, 2002, 2000, and 1993. Their other loss was to 7-3 Pope John, while wins include 10-1 River Dell, 8-2 Mahwah, 6-4 Morris Hills, and 5-5 Mount Olive.
