NJ Varsity Top 25: Groups 1 and 2

No team has left or entered the Top 25 this week. Some places may have changed, especially with Immaculata moving up. They have played a much tougher schedule than most of these teams.
1 - St. Joe's, Hammonton (6-0). Last week: (1). The Wildcats beat a good Group 5 Atlantic City team, 27-25 and have outscored opponents, 170-79, playing a tough, big school schedule. They have won three consecutive state titles and have a 24 game winning streak. This week: 6-0 St. Augustine.

2 - Madison (6-0). Last week: (2). The Dodgers beat Lenape Valley, 17-15, and have outscored opponents 257-61 in five games. They have won two consecutive sectional titles and have won 31 straight. This week: 3-4 Kittatinny.
3 - West Deptford (6-0). Last week: (3). The Eagles beat Overbrook, 54-12, and have outscored opponents 274-92. They have won five sectional titles since 2002 and appeared in eight finals in that time. This week: 2-4 Collingswood.
4 - Rumson-Fair Haven (6-0). Last week: (4). The Bulldogs beat Monsignor Donovan, 31-0, allowing 42 points this year and scoring 146. They have been to three sectional appearances since 2007, including the last two years, winning one. This week: at 1-5 Monmouth.
5 - Pompton Lakes (7-0). Last week: (5). The Cardinals beat Secaucus, 55-0, and have outscored opponents, 313-22. They won a sectional last year and have won three of the four finals they have appeared in since 1997. This week: 1-6 Ridgefield.
6 - Penns Grove (6-0). Last week: (6). The Red Devils posted their fourth shutout this year against Schalick, winning 60-0, and have outscored the opposition, 288-26. This week: 3-3 Deptford.
7 - Bernards (7-0). Last week: (7). The Mountaineers beat Bound Brook, 42-7, and have outscored opponents, 304-73. This week: Bye week.
8 - Immaculata (6-1). Last week: (11). The Spartans beat Hunterdon Central, 35-31. They have outscored opponents, 177-79, and play a large school schedule. This week: 4-3 Montgomery.
9 - Caldwell (5-1). Last week: (8). The Chiefs beat Orange, 29-7. They have outscored opponents 202-49 and have won three sectionals since 1997. They appeared in four finals plus four more semi-finals. This week: 2-4 Millburn.
10 - Cedar Grove (6-1). Last week: (9). The Panthers beat arch-rival Verona, 14-6. They outscored opponents, 227-120. They have won five sectionals since 2000, appearing in six. This week: 5-2 Newark Central.
11 - Shore Regional (5-1). Last week: (10). The Blue Devils beat Mater Dei, 47-0 and have outscored opponents, 199-45. They won a sectional title in 2010. This week: 4-3 Keansburg.
12 - Carteret (6-0). Last week: (13). The Ramblers beat Bishop Ahr, 41-13, and have outscored opponents, 238-65, winning a sectional in 2007. This week: at 7-0 Colonia.
13 - Mountain Lakes (7-0). Last week: (14). The Herd beat Boonton, 42-14 and they have outscored opponents, 256-96. They have won three sectionals since 2002, appearing in five finals. This week: at 2-5 Wallkill Valley.
14 - Point Pleasant Beach (7-0). Last week: (15). The Gulls beat Highland Park 49-23 and have outscored opponents 318-77. This week: at 6-1 Keyport.
15 - Lenape Valley (6-1). Last week: (12). The Patriots lost their first game to Madison, 17-15. They outscored opponents, 218-96. This week: at 3-4 Dover.
16 - Glassboro (5-1). Last week: (18). The Bulldogs beat Highland Regional 35-0, outscoring the opposition, 210-84. They have won the last two sectional titles and four of the last five, three more finals appearances since 2000. This week: at 4-2 Pennsville.
17 - Delran (6-0). Last week: (16). The Bears had a bye week and have outscored opponents, 134-61. This week: 4-3 Maple Shade.
18 - Hasbrouck Heights (7-0). Last week: (17). The Aviators beat Waldwick 29-7. Opponents have been outscored 244-84. They have won two sectional titles since 1994 and appeared in four finals. This week: 5-2 Palisades Park.
19 - New Providence (6-1). Last week: (19). The Pioneers beat Manville, 47-0, and have outscored opponents, 271-86. They won the sectional two years ago. This week: Bye week.
20 - Delaware Valley (5-1). Last week: (20). The Terriers beat North Plainfield, 46-24. Opponents have been outscored 212-74. This week: 7-0 Summit.
21 - St. Mary's (7-0). Last week: (21). The Gaels beat Bogota, 49-24 and have scored 301 points this year, allowing 105. They won a sectional in 2006. This week: 1-6 Wallington.
22 - Florence (5-1). Last week: (22). The Flashes beat Maple Shade, 35-0, outscoring opponents, 154-35. They were in the finals last year and have won four sectionals since 2003. This week: at 4-2 Bordentown.
23 - Butler (6-1). Last week: (23). The Bulldogs beat Wallkill Valley, 42-21 and have outscored their opponents, 225-80. This week: 4-3 Hopatcong.
24 - Saddle Brook (6-1). Last week: (24). The Falcons beat Queen of Peace, 45-22, outscoring opponents, 252-102. This week: 4-3 Bogota.
25 - Woodbury (5-1). Last week: (25). The Thundering Herd beat Sterling, 28-22, outscoring opponents 183-97. They won a sectional in 2009 and have had three finals appearances since 1998, winning two. This week: at 4-2 Audubon.
