2012 In Review: The Caseys were 10-1, losing to St. Joe's (Montvale) in the Non-Public Group 3 semi-finals, after beating Monsignor Donovan. They scored 379 points for a 34.45 average, while allowing 107 points for a 9.73 average, including four shutouts. Wins included Middletown South, Rumson-Fair Haven, Manasquan, and St. John Vianney.

Offense: Red Bank Catholic runs a multiple pro offense and returns seven starters and a few others who played. Returning at quarterback is senior Pat Toomey (6-foot-2, 190) and he will be pushed by sophomore Eddie Hahn (6-foot-3, 190). At tailback, senior Larry Redaelli (5-foot-7, 185) is back after rushing for 900 yards and junior Mike Cordova (5-foot-7, 175) is also back after rushing for 500 yards. They will get a push from junior Tommy Spernal (5-foot-10, 175) and sophomore Dylan Murphy (5-foot-10, 185). Fullback has several in the picture, as senior part-time starter Frank Olmo (5-foot-10, 205) returns, while senior Bruno Lins (5-foot-10, 190) and junior Nick Cella (5-foot-11, 205) will also get some time.
Tight end has several back that split the position. Seniors Matt Golden (6-foot-2, 230) and Shawn McCord (6-foot-2, 230), junior Jamie Gordinier (6-foot-4, 240), and senior David Black (6-foot-0, 210) are all going to see time. Several who rotated in at wide receiver return in seniors Connor Smith (6-foot-3, 215), James Sheridan (5-foot-7, 180), and Christian Wagar (6-foot-1, 195). Also competing here are junior John Portela (5-foot-9, 175), junior Trevor Cowley (5-foot-11, 175), junior Nick Lubischer (5-foot-9, 175), and senior Anthony Demian (6-foot-1, 215).
Three starters return to the line in senior tackles Quenton Nelson (6-foot-5, 305) and Tim O'Hara (6-foot-5, 270), plus junior guard Ryan Kroeger (6-foot-2, 265). The other guard is a three way fight among senior Joe Castellano (5-foot-11, 215), junior Danny Wilen (6-foot-3, 240), and junior Neil Horenburg (6-foot-3, 265). Center is between senior Liam Coffey (6-foot-2-1/2, 285) and junior Nick Roy (6-foot-2, 250). Two promising sophomores at tackle are Ryan Oneidas (6-foot-2, 235) and Liam Smith (6-foot-4, 235).
Defense: The Caseys run a 4-3 and return four starters and another who started the last half of the season. Nelson is back at one tackle and he will be paired with Kroeger. In the tackle rotation will be junior Pat Cino (6-foot-2, 285), Horenburg, and senior Nick Canella (6-foot-0, 260). McCord returns at one end after starting six games, with Golden or Demian on the other side. O'Hara will be in the rotation at end.
Two return at linebacker: senior Ryan Schoer (6-foot-2, 235) in the middle and Gordinier on the outside. The other outside post will have Olmo, senior Andrew Porzio (5-foot-10, 200), junior Nick LaGrippo (5-foot-10, 190), and Lins competing and possibly being part of a rotation.
Safety has Cordova returning at one safety. The other safety will be among Hahn, Wagar, Cella, and Sheridan. One cornerback will be junior Mike Demonte (6-foot-2, 190), who saw action last year. The other corner has senior Craig Levine (5-foot-9, 175), Lubischer, senior Johnny Johnson (5-foot-10, 190), and junior Jon Leach (5-foot-10, 175) fighting it out.
Special Teams: Toomey is back as both the kicker and punter. The return positions are open, with Cordova, Sheridan, and Lubischer in the running.

Question Marks: Having new guys, defensively.
Recruiting: Nelson committed to Notre Dame. O'Hara has five offers: Monmouth, Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette, and Bryant. Schoer has interest from UConn, Monmouth, Wagner, and Towson, plus an offer from D2 West Virginia Wesleyan. Olmo has interest from New Haven, St. Anselm (NH), Ivy/NESCAC and an offer from West Virginia Wesleyan. Toomey has interest as a kicker from UConn and Central Florida, while he has interest as a quarterback from the Ivy and NESCAC leagues. Radaelli, Golden, and McCord will play somewhere and others may go D3 with a good year.
From the junior class, Gordinier has interest from Penn State, Rutgers, Northwestern, and Maryland. Kroeger has interest from Maryland and Temple. Cordova is a good football player, but has his height against him, but has interest from Navy.
In the sophomore class, Hahn has very good potential. Others have potential, but may need time, such as Smith, Oneidas, and Murphy.
