2015 In Review: The Bombers were 5-5, losing to Middletown North in the first round of the North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 playoffs. They scored 239 points for a 23.9 average, while allowing 218 for a 21.8 average. Wins included Monroe, Piscataway, and East Brunswick, while losses included South Brunswick, Manalapan, and Old Bridge.
Departures: OL/DL Anthony Porcaro - Blair Academy, WR/DB Coray Williams - Wesley (Del.), G/LB Corey Clark - Delaware Valley
Offense: Sayreville runs a spread and returns six starters, one who started on defense, and another who saw time. Returning at quarterback is senior Jayson DeMild (6-foot-1, 200). Back at running back is senior Mike Liberti (5-foot-9, 175). Getting some time will be senior Jaquae Roberts (5-foot-10, 225), a defensive starter from last year.
The receivers have three returnees in senior tight end Jahsim Floyd (6-foot-8, 205), plus wide receivers Andrew Wille (6-foot-2, 180) - a senior - and junior Elijah Clark (6-foot-3, 165). The fourth receiver is sophomore Jacari Carter (5-foot-7, 150), who saw action. Other players will rotate in.
One starter is back on the line. Senior Michael Porcaro (6-foot-4, 280) is back at guard and senior center Christian Platon (5-foot-8, 195) was a starter on the other side of the ball. The rest of the line looks like senior Ryan Russell (6-foot-2, 227) and junior Tristan Behr (5-foot-11, 215) at tackle, with junior Damian Lupo (5-foot-11, 215) at guard. Others in the running are seniors Matt Okie (6-foot-1, 205), Matt Okie (6-foot-0, 220), Kyle Almeida (5-foot-10, 200), and Bryan Caprice (5-foot-11, 225).
Defense: The Bombers run a 3-4 and return seven starters. The line is experienced with Porcaro and Floyd back at the ends, plus Roberts back at nose guard. Other offensive linemen may find time in the rotation and Benedict Arthur (6-foot-2, 230) is a promising sophomore.
Returning at linebacker are Liberti on the outside and Platon on the inside. Opposite Liberti will be junior Colton Redding (5-foot-10, 180). The other inside spot will be junior Matt Germann (5-foot-10, 190), but he has competition from senior Michael Gray (5-foot-10, 195), senior Matt Luboski (5-foot-10, 200), and some sophomores.
The secondary has Clark and senior Brandon Cenci (6-foot-0, 170) back at the safeties, while the corners will be senior Cyro McMoore (5-foot-8, 155) and Carter, who saw action last year. Also pushing for time is sophomore Connor Holmes (5-foot-8, 150).
Special Teams: Kicker is undecided, while Wille is the punter for now. Liberti and Carter will be the return men.

Concerns: Staying healthy. Coach Chris Beagan likes the team and it is good to have a team with experience.
Recruits: DeMild is a 1-AA candidate, while Floyd has an offer from Monmouth in football and hold five basketball offers, including Holy Cross. Wille, Porcaro, and Liberti could be anywhere from 1-AA to D3.
Clark is the top junior and he could also play basketball.
The top sophomore is Carter, who Beagan says is a coach’s dream, great to work with, and takes no reps off as if Nick Saban was watching.
Coach’s Comments: “We’re excited. We have a good number of kids returning and any time your quarterback returns is a good thing. We also have the year of experience for a change.” - Head Coach Chris Beagan
