Departures: LB Quinton Alston - Iowa, WR/CB Damiere Byrd - South Carolina, WR/SS Dan Bednarik - Albright, WR/CB Jeff Hicks - Stevenson (Md.), DL Matt Howard - Cheyney, OL/DL Hunter Krajewski - Wesley, QB Mike Maniscalco - Mansfield University for sprint football, OL Devon Rose - Albright, WR Tyler Krusch - Barry College (Fla.) for baseball
Offense: Timber Creek runs a multiple shotgun offense and returns five starters and several others who won letters. Returning at quarterback is senior Calvin Lowe (6-foot-1, 175) and he will be pushed by junior Myles Nash (6-foot-5, 190). If Nash wins the job, Lowe can move to wide receiver. The main running back will be junior Khalil Pierce (5-foot-10, 180), who started on defense last year, but junior Eric Church (5-foot-9, 175) and sophomore Hakim Smith (5-foot-7, 165) will also get carries.
The wide receivers have one returning starter and another who played. The returning starter is senior Kevin Potter (6-foot-1, 170), where he moves from running back. He will be joined by junior Bryce Shade (5-foot-8, 165), sophomore Justice Davila (6-foot-0, 180), junior Kevin Casey (6-foot-3, 185), junior Bill Burton (5-foot-10, 165), senior Highland transfer Andrew Brown (6-foot-1, 170), and sophomore Isaiah Austin (5-foot-9, 165), as all will see some time. Shade saw action last year and both Burton and Brown started on defense. Lowe may also play here if he isn't at quarterback.
The one returning starter to the line is junior Tamell Irving (6-foot-0, 250) at tackle. The other tackle will be junior Paul VI transfer Greg Webb (6-foot-2, 295), where he started on defense. The guards will be junior David Martinez (5-foot-11, 215) and senior Jamil Stephenson (5-foot-11, 235). Competing at center are juniors Matt Adams (5-foot-9, 180) and Drew Matson (5-foot-9, 200). Also in the running at tackle are senior Pat Fithian (6-foot-0, 250) and junior Joe Rapp (6-foot-0, 235).
Defense: The Chargers play a 4-2-5 and return five starters and two transfers who started elsewhere. Returning at end is junior Dejaun Drennon (6-foot-4, 225), with Nash being the frontrunner to play opposite him. Also in the mix are senior Will Darden (5-foot-10, 190) and Stephenson. Webb will be one tackle after starting Paul VI. Senior Ed Day (6-foot-1, 240) is the leading candidate to play next to him, but senior Schalor Blackshear (5-foot-9, 220), sophomore Donte Hardwick (5-foot-9, 235), and Rapp also figure to see playing time.
Two starters are back at linebacker. Senior Quanzell Lambert (6-foot-2, 240), one of the state's top players will lead the way. Also back is sophomore Solomon Potter (6-foot-0, 230), who started at the end of last year. Also in the picture are junior Tariq Chambers (5-foot-10, 180), senior Laquan Sabree (5-foot-10, 190), and junior Joey Phillips (5-foot-9, 220).
Three starters return to the secondary, plus one transfer from Highland, where he started last year. Burton, Lowe, and Pierce are returning starters, while Brown also started at Highland last year. Church will also start and others may push for time.
Special Teams: Casey will be the kicker, while the punter will be sophomore Justin Gonzalez. Kevin Potter, freshman Kareem Ali (5-foot-10, 150), Burton, and Shade will be the return men.

Question Marks: How quickly does the offensive line jell? They have talent, but how quickly do they come together?
Recruits: Lambert is the #5 prospect in New Jersey and has double digit 1-A offers. Lowe and Potter have been receiving significant MAC and CAA interest. Potter has run a 4.3 40 yard dash and a 10.7 100 meters.
In the junior class, Webb has received verbal offers from Rutgers, UConn, Syracuse, Central Florida, Iowa, Penn State, and Michigan State. Drennon has verbal offers from Rutgers and Penn State. Several others have 1-A and 1-AA ability, but need a good junior season.
Coach's Comments: "We play in the ultra-competitive West Jersey Football League in the same division as Delsea, Kingsway, Cumberland, Triton, and Highland. Basically every team in our division has a legitimate shot at the conference title and I fell we have just as good a shot as everyone else. We have decent size and speed, however, any success we have will be based on how quickly we mature up front." - Head Coach Rob Hinson
